Why We Develop Our Own Speaker Adapters
Not every vehicle offers a suitable mounting solution for premium aftermarket speakers. While universal adapters may work in some applications, they often require modifications or compromise the installation quality. For us, that has never been an option.
As professional car audio installers, we work with a wide variety of vehicle platforms every day. During countless HELIX COMPOSE installations we repeatedly encountered the same challenge: perfectly engineered speakers deserve equally precise mounting solutions.
Whenever no suitable adapter was available, we developed our own.
Every new project starts with analysing the original speaker mounting points and the available installation space. Using CAD software, we design a vehicle-specific adapter that preserves the factory mounting geometry while providing the ideal foundation for HELIX COMPOSE speakers.
Before an adapter becomes part of our product range, it is tested during real vehicle installations and refined until it meets our expectations for fitment, stability and installation quality.

From Idea to Perfect Fit
Every vehicle presents unique installation requirements. Different mounting geometries, limited installation space and OEM-specific speaker locations require more than a universal solution. That's why every new adapter begins with a completely individual development process. Using professional CAD software, we digitally recreate the required mounting geometry and design every adapter specifically for its intended vehicle. Throughout the development process, we focus on precise dimensions, structural rigidity, cable routing, mounting points and perfect compatibility with HELIX COMPOSE speakers. Prototype parts are then produced and evaluated during real installations. Every measurement is verified directly in the vehicle and, whenever necessary, the design is refined until the adapter delivers the exact fit and installation quality we expect. Only after successfully completing this development cycle does an adapter become part of our product range.

Are the speaker adapters vehicle-specific?

How are the adapters developed?
Each adapter is designed in-house using CAD software. Prototypes are then manufactured, installed in the intended vehicle and refined until the fit, stability and installation process meet our requirements.
Are the adapters tested in real vehicles?
Yes. New designs are validated during real vehicle installations before they are added to our product range. This allows us to verify the mounting points, available space, cable routing and compatibility with the selected HELIX COMPOSE speaker.
How are the adapters manufactured?

Can the original mounting points be retained?
Wherever technically possible, our adapters are designed to use the original vehicle mounting points. The objective is a clean installation with minimal modification to the vehicle.
Can the vehicle be returned to its original condition?
In many applications, the original speaker system can be reinstalled later because the factory mounting points remain unchanged. Whether this is possible depends on the individual vehicle and installation position.
Do the adapters include electrical connections?
